Mr. Robert Nkous is a Cameroonian, married with three children. He is an electrical engineer with specialty in telecommunication technology from Germany (Bochum). Mr. Nkous has over 20 years’ experience in banking. He joined Afriland First Group in 1997 and has served in many senior positions (Head of Credit, Area Manager, Human Resource Manager, etc.). From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Nkous served as the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director for Afriland First Bank Zambia subsidiary. 

From 2017 to present, he has been serving as the CEO/ MD for Afriland First Bank Liberia Limited. In addition to his current role as the Chief Executive Officer of Afriland First Group Liberia subsidiary, Mr. Nkous was appointed in January 2021 as the Group’s Regional Manager to oversee and establish subsidiaries in the English speaking regions (Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone.) 

Every step of his professional journey, from the busy streets of Cameroon to the boardrooms of international banking, has been viewed by him as a lesson and every chance as a challenge. He is sure and hopeful about the future, believing it will bring many new opportunities and challenges as well as the chance to make a lasting impact in the banking industry and beyond.
